We facilitate long-term collaboration between the Chinese and Icelandic publishing industries. By bringing together Chinese and Icelandic writers, columnists, scriptwriters, literary critics, and translators, we help them increase their presence in the foreign publishing market by connecting them with Chinese and Icelandic media groups, publishing houses, and digital platforms. Our services include:

  • Assisting Icelandic writers (and their agents) in seeking opportunities to publish their solo-authored books in the Chinese market, and vice versa.

  • Assisting Icelandic writers in seeking opportunities for co-authoring or co-publishing in the Chinese market, and vice versa.

  • Assisting Icelandic writers in translating their short works or columns, and seeking opportunities to be published in Chinese newspapers and/or digital media platforms, and vice versa.

  • Strengthening Icelandic writers' social connections and building a stronger representation and influence of Icelandic literature in the Chinese market, and vice versa.

  • Assisting Icelandic writers in participating in literature and publishing related events in China (e.g., Beijing International Book Fair, Shanghai International Book Fair, Shanghai International Children's Book Fair, Shanghai Art Book Fair, etc.), and Chinese writers in Icelandic events (e.g., Reykjavík Book Fair).

  • Increasing Icelandic writers' media coverage, public attention, and reputation by setting up interviews with Chinese news agencies and media platforms, and vice versa.

Filming

We aim to create opportunities for broader cooperation between China and Iceland in the film industry by engaging all filmmakers in both countries. This can include but is not limited to:

  • Assisting Chinese filmmakers in better connecting with Icelandic filmmakers when they need to carry out their filming projects (e.g., movies, TV series, variety shows, reality shows, commercials, photo-shootings, etc.) in Iceland, and vice versa.

  • Igniting Chinese and Icelandic filmmakers’ inspiration to integrate each other’s environment, landscape, culture, and people into their filming projects.

  • Assisting Chinese and Icelandic filmmakers in transferring the copyrights of their works (and through their production firms/studios/agencies) and helping their works to be displayed and screened in both countries.

  • Strengthening Icelandic filmmakers’ social connections and together building a stronger representation/influence of Icelandic film industry in the Chinese market, and vice versa.

  • Assisting Icelandic and Chinese filmmakers in participating in film events in both countries, including the Beijing International Film Festival, Shanghai International Film Festival, Reykjavík International Film Festival, Stockfish Film Festival, etc.

  • Increasing Icelandic filmmakers’ media coverage, public attention, and public reputation by setting up interviews with Chinese news agencies and media platforms, and vice versa.

Music Room

Music

We enhance musical communication and connections between China and Iceland by engaging all music practitioners in the two countries. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Assisting Chinese and Icelandic musicians in better connecting with each other's music industry when carrying out their music projects, such as performing, composing, creating, recording, and selling music.

  • Helping Chinese and Icelandic musicians transfer the copyrights of their works (and through their signed agents), and promoting their works in both countries.

  • Promoting Icelandic musicians' works on Chinese digital platforms/social media platforms, such as Douyin/TikTok, and vice versa.

  • Strengthening Icelandic musicians' social connections and building a stronger representation/influence of the Icelandic music industry in the Chinese market, and vice versa.

  • Assisting Icelandic and Chinese musicians in participating in music events in each other's countries, such as the Shanghai Spring International Music Festival, Strawberry Music Festival, Iceland Airwaves, and Secret Solstice.

  • Setting up interviews with Chinese news agencies and media platforms to increase Icelandic musicians' media coverage, public attention, and public reputation, and vice versa.
